I gotta be honest, I ain’t too thrilled about goin’ home to visit. I always make sure to get my ma somethin’ nice, considerin’ I get paid enough, I may as well. She can’t really afford anythin’ pricey, so I never really get anythin’. But she seems to be the best at findin’ da ugliest sweater you can imagine for da holidays. 
As for bein’ on da base, we never really do anythin’ special. Wit’ all da snow, it’s always pretty cool to make da best of it, I guess. None of da guys seem to like bein’ in da cold, or just say it’s “immature” or whatever. Livin’ in Boston my whole life, I pretty much got used to it. Sometimes I go back inside wit’ a cold, so dat kinda pisses off da Medic.
